The SynC website continues to evolve, and our DWS Tools system has grown far beyond the original Weekly Stats Tracker. What started as a simple way to collect weekly character data has become a full alliance management platform built around fairness, planning, transparency, and long-term growth.

With version 1.9.9, we made several important improvements to how data is handled behind the scenes, how leadership reviews alliance progress, and how members can safely submit and manage their character information.

Here is an overview of what the system currently supports and what has been improved through version 1.9.9.

Member Features

  • Member Hub
A central starting page for logged-in SynC members.
  • Weekly Stats Submission
Members can submit updated character stats, including WT#, Total CP, March CP, Rally Cap, Faction, screenshots, and optional notes.
  • Character History Pages
Members can view character growth over time, previous submissions, stat trends, and progress history.
  • Optional Sensitive Stat Privacy
Members who prefer to keep certain stats private can request privacy be enabled for their character. March CP, Rally Cap, and Primary Faction can be hidden from normal member view while still remaining available to leadership for planning.
  • Rules Acceptance Tracking
Members can review and accept current Server and SynC rules through the website, to be reminded monthly.
  • Member Settings
Members can update preferred language, timezone, and active play times.
  • Leadership Help Requests
Members can request help directly through the website when they need guidance or support.

Stats & Growth Tools

  • Alliance Average Over Time
The alliance average graph now uses a smarter rolling snapshot system, giving a more accurate picture of SynC’s growth over time.
  • Latest Averages
Quick summary cards show current alliance-wide averages for key stats.
  • Top Growth Cards
The system can highlight top growth performers based on recent stat changes.
  • Character Growth vs Alliance
Individual character pages compare personal growth against alliance averages.
  • Weekly Stat Tables
Members and leadership can review sortable/searchable stat tables.
  • Custom Fields
Leadership can create additional tracking fields as needed for alliance goals, events, or seasonal requirements.

Leadership Tools

  • Leadership Portal
A dedicated area for leadership review, planning, and alliance management.
  • Missing Submissions Tracking
Leadership can see which active characters may need a reminder to update their stats.
  • Member Availability Dashboard
Leadership can review member timezones, active windows, and language preferences to help plan events more fairly.
  • Event Time Planning
Availability tools help identify better event windows based on when members are actually active.
  • Character Ownership Management
Leadership can connect website accounts to in-game characters.
  • Character Registry
Each character has a hidden ID so names can be renamed, updated, merged, or tracked without losing history.
  • Character Archive / Reactivate
Inactive or removed characters can be archived while preserving historical data.
  • Sensitive Stat Controls
Leadership can enable or disable sensitive stat privacy for individual characters.
  • Blank / Damaged Stat Entry Audit
A new admin tool helps identify entries with missing character names, missing capture dates, or blank Total CP values.
  • Stats Repair / Recalculate Tool
Leadership can manually refresh calculations if data is corrected or cleaned up.

Hive & Planning Tools

  • Hive Planner
Leadership can organize player placement visually.
  • Member Search on Hive
Leadership can quickly find members on the hive layout.
  • CP Tier Coloring
Hive spots can visually reflect CP tiers to help with planning.
  • Boss / Territory Layout Support
The hive layout can account for larger structures and strategic placement.

Data Safety Improvements

  • Safer Character Merge System
The merge system was rebuilt to protect historical stats when combining old and new character names.
  • Protected Stat History
Merges now preserve Total CP, March CP, Rally Cap, Faction, screenshots, notes, custom fields, and contribution data.
  • Archived Merge Records
Old source characters are now archived/marked as merged instead of being fully deleted from the registry.
  • Better Cleanup Handling
Deleted, trashed, restored, and status-changed stat entries now trigger refresh logic so charts and averages stay cleaner.

Submit Form Improvements

  • Required Field Controls
Leadership can choose which Power & March Stats fields are required on the weekly submission form.
  • Flexible Submission Requirements
WT#, Total CP, March CPs, Rally Cap, and Primary Faction can be made required or optional depending on current alliance needs.
  • Better Data Validation
The form continues to check for unusual or suspicious entries to help prevent accidental bad data.

Why This Matters

These tools help SynC stay organized, fair, and competitive. Instead of relying only on screenshots, Discord messages, memory, or guesswork, we can use real data to support members, track progress, plan events, manage the hive, and make better alliance decisions.

Some tools are visible to all members, some are leadership-only, and some work quietly in the background. Together, they help us build a stronger and more organized alliance.

Thank you to everyone who continues submitting accurate information, reporting issues, and helping improve the system. Every update makes DWS Tools better for the entire alliance.

Deeper Dive

One of the biggest updates is a smarter Alliance Average Over Time graph. Previously, the graph could be affected too strongly when only one player submitted new stats on a specific date. The system now uses a rolling alliance snapshot, meaning each point on the graph uses every active character’s latest valid stats as of that date. This gives a much more accurate picture of SynC’s overall growth instead of letting one new submission temporarily skew the alliance average.

For members, the Submit Weekly Stats form is now more flexible. Leadership can choose which Power & March Stats fields are required, including WT#, Total CP, March CPs, Rally Cap, and Primary Faction. Character Name and Date of Capture remain required, but this gives us more control over how strict the form should be depending on what data we need at the time.

We also recently added optional privacy controls for sensitive stat fields. If a member prefers to keep March CP, Rally Cap, or Primary Faction private from other members, leadership can enable that privacy setting for their character. The data is still available to leadership for planning and support, and it still counts toward alliance averages, but other members will only see those sensitive fields as hidden. This is meant to make people feel more comfortable submitting accurate information without feeling judged.

The Member Hub remains the main starting point for SynC members. From there, members can submit weekly stats, view character history, accept rules, update language and active time information, request leadership help, and access major alliance tools. The goal is to make the website easier to use while giving leadership better information to support the alliance.

Leadership tools continue to expand as well. Behind the scenes, SynC leadership can review missing submissions, monitor member setup progress, track growth patterns, manage character ownership, review help requests, plan around member availability, and use the Hive Planner to organize placement. These tools help us make decisions based on real information rather than memory, screenshots, or guesswork.

The availability system is another major piece of the larger planning picture. Members can share their preferred language, timezone, and daily active time window. Leadership can then review activity patterns and identify better event windows using game server time. This helps us understand when the alliance is actually online and how to plan events more fairly.

The Hive Planner also continues to be one of our most useful planning tools. Leadership can organize player placement, search for members, review CP tiers visually, and manage hive structure more easily. It helps us keep the hive cleaner, more strategic, and easier to adjust as members grow or move.

Some of these features are visible to all members, some are leadership-only, and some work quietly in the background. But together, they all support the same goal: keeping SynC organized, competitive, fair, and prepared.

Our website is not just a place to post rules or guides. It is becoming a real alliance management system built specifically around how we play Dark War Survival. The better our data is, the better we can support members, plan events, manage growth, and keep pushing SynC forward.

Thank you to everyone who continues submitting accurate information, reporting issues, and helping test new features. Every update makes the system better for the entire alliance.
