Season 3 of Dark War Survival, Everfrost Age, trades the scorching sands of Eternal Dunes for a frozen apocalypse filled with snowstorms, frozen undead, Coal, Cryolite, Icebloom, and several new seasonal events.

The good news for anyone who just finished Season 2: Eternal Dunes is that you already understand most of the underlying progression system.

The names and environment have changed, but the basic formula is very familiar:

Build your seasonal production buildings → generate seasonal resources → increase Resistance → defeat stronger seasonal enemies → unlock military buildings → capture territory → help your alliance compete for the season.

Everfrost adds several new twists—including Coal rankings, Furnace Fury, Arctic Ice Pits, fishing, Frozen Rescue, Arctic Veins, and Snowman Mania—but you are not learning an entirely new game.

You are mostly learning what everything is called now.

A note about older guides: You may find guides online that call Everfrost Age Season 4. Dark War Survival has changed its season order since some of those guides were published. For current servers, Everfrost Age is Season 3, following Eternal Dunes.

The information we have is also subject to change. The developers are changing mechanics almost constantly; however, I will try to update this as the actual information is published/seen in game.

Eternal Dunes → Everfrost Age

If you remember these Season 2 systems, this table gives you the fastest possible introduction to Season 3.

If you understood how to progress through Eternal Dunes, Everfrost should feel much less intimidating.

The Most Important Season 3 Progression Loop

Before worrying about fishing, snowmen, Furnace Fury, or anything else, understand this:

Cryolite

↓

Upgrade Smart Greenhouses

↓

Produce Icebloom

↓

Upgrade the Thermal Lab

↓

Increase Virus Resistance

↓

Defeat stronger seasonal enemies

↓

Earn more Cryolite and seasonal rewards

↓

Repeat

That is the core Everfrost progression loop.

Just like Eternal Dunes, Resistance is extremely important. A high-CP account that neglects seasonal Resistance can quickly find itself unable to effectively participate in higher-level seasonal content.

What Should I Do First?

When Everfrost begins, there will be plenty of red dots and new menus competing for your attention.

Your early priorities should be relatively simple.

1. Move to the Alliance's Season 3 Hive

Follow leadership instructions regarding where to teleport and where seasonal buildings should be placed.

The Alliance Furnace creates an important seasonal building area, so hive organization and building placement matter.

Do not scatter seasonal buildings around the map without checking the alliance plan.

2. Start the Season Kickoff Event

Everfrost begins with a 7-day Season Kickoff event.

Start progressing through it immediately.

One of your early goals should be defeating the highest Savagerot levels you can reasonably reach and collecting the first-clear and progression rewards available to you.

Season progression tends to snowball:

The faster you improve your buildings and Resistance, the faster you can reach stronger enemies and better rewards.

3. Begin Farming Cryolite

Cryolite is essential for building and upgrading your seasonal structures.

You can obtain it through several Season 3 activities, including:

  • Savagerots
  • Glacierbanes and other seasonal rallies
  • Arctic Cryolite Veins
  • Snowman Mania
  • Frozen Rescue milestones
  • Seasonal tasks and events
  • Seasonal shops and rewards

Do not waste Cryolite early.

Your Smart Greenhouses should be one of your primary investments.

4. Push Your Greenhouses

Your first major building objective is:

Smart Greenhouse I → Level 15

That unlocks the next Greenhouse.

Then:

Greenhouse II → Level 15

Then:

Greenhouse III → Level 15

Then:

Greenhouse IV

This is similar to the Holy Altar progression from Eternal Dunes.

Once all four normal Greenhouses have been unlocked, you can begin leveling them more evenly to improve your overall Icebloom production.

5. Keep Your Thermal Lab Moving

Your Smart Greenhouses produce Icebloom.

Icebloom is then consumed by the Thermal Lab to increase your Virus Resistance.

Whenever you have the resources available to continue meaningful Thermal Lab progression, do not ignore it.

Remember:

Combat Power does not replace Resistance.

Resistance determines how effectively you can fight stronger seasonal enemies and participate in higher-level Everfrost content.

Season 3 Resources Explained

Several new resources appear during Everfrost, and understanding what each one actually does will make the season much easier.

Cryolite

Cryolite is primarily a seasonal construction resource.

You need it to construct and upgrade seasonal buildings, particularly your Smart Greenhouses.

Think:

Cryolite = Build and upgrade the seasonal infrastructure.

Unlike Icebloom, Cryolite is not primarily something you simply wait for a building to produce. You will actively earn it through seasonal activities, enemies, Arctic Veins, and rewards.

Icebloom

Icebloom is produced by Smart Greenhouses.

It is consumed by your Thermal Lab to improve Virus Resistance.

Think:

Icebloom = Increase Resistance.

The more developed your Greenhouses become, the stronger your Icebloom economy becomes.

Coal

Coal is different.

Coal is an alliance-level seasonal resource and ranking objective.

Occupied territories throughout the snowfields generate Coal over time. Your alliance accumulates Coal throughout the season, and Coal rankings determine important seasonal rewards.

Think:

Coal = Alliance competition and season ranking.

Coal can also be stolen through Furnace Fury, which makes protecting it—and taking it from competitors—an important part of Everfrost.

Smart Greenhouses

Smart Greenhouses are essentially Season 3's version of the Holy Altars.

Their main purpose is producing Icebloom for your Thermal Lab.

The first four Greenhouses unlock sequentially:

Greenhouse I Lv.15 → Greenhouse II

Greenhouse II Lv.15 → Greenhouse III

Greenhouse III Lv.15 → Greenhouse IV

Early in the season, concentrate on reaching the Lv.15 requirement needed for the next unlock.

Once all four are available, begin improving them more evenly so your total Icebloom production continues climbing.

What about Greenhouse V?

A fifth Smart Greenhouse is available through the Season Weekly Pass while that benefit is active.

That provides additional Icebloom production beyond the four normal Greenhouses.

Thermal Lab

The Thermal Lab is your new Obelisk.

It consumes Icebloom and increases Virus Resistance.

If you remember how important Obelisk progression became during Eternal Dunes, treat the Thermal Lab the same way.

Do not allow flashy military bonuses to distract you from your Resistance progression too early.

Savagerots and Glacierbanes

Everfrost introduces new seasonal enemies that become an important source of Cryolite, rewards, and progression.

Savagerots

Savagerots are seasonal enemies that can be fought individually.

Push through higher levels as your Resistance allows, especially early in the season when first-clear rewards can help accelerate your progression.

Glacierbanes and Seasonal Rallies

Glacierbanes are stronger seasonal enemies intended for alliance rallies.

This is where having stronger players ahead of the progression curve can benefit everyone.

Join stronger alliance rallies.

If another member can already rally a seasonal enemy above the level you can comfortably initiate yourself, join them when possible.

Higher-level seasonal enemies generally provide better rewards, and early alliance cooperation can help members accelerate their own progression.

Do not assume that because you cannot start the rally yet, you shouldn't participate.

Arctic Veins: Everfrost Seasonal Mining

Despite some older Everfrost guides claiming that the season has no seasonal mining, the current version includes a very similar system through Arctic Veins.

Deep inside the Cavern, players can find:

  • Cryolite Veins
  • Gold Veins

This should feel familiar to Eternal Dunes veterans.

How Arctic Veins Work

Before searching, select a mining area.

Higher areas require more Influence, but provide access to higher-level resource points—and greater competition from other players.

Once you locate a resource point:

  1. Defeat the zombies occupying it.
  2. Begin gathering the resources.
  3. Protect your resource point from other players.

You can also plunder another player's resource point, allowing you to take resources directly instead of waiting for them to gather.

Of course, other players can do the same thing to you.

Important Arctic Vein Rules

  • You receive 5 free searches each day.
  • Higher-Influence areas offer better resource opportunities.
  • Resource spots must be cleared of zombies before gathering.
  • Other players can plunder your resource point.
  • You can plunder theirs.
  • Gathering does not occupy troops or a march queue.

That last point is especially important.

There is very little reason to ignore your daily Arctic Vein opportunities just because your marches are busy elsewhere.

Strategic Barrack

Once your fourth Smart Greenhouse reaches Lv.15, you can unlock the Strategic Barrack.

This is essentially Everfrost's version of the War Fort.

The Strategic Barrack provides troop-related seasonal bonuses, including increased troop capacity.

At Strategic Barrack Lv.10, you unlock:

  • 2 Armed Turrets
  • 2 Defense Bases

These provide additional combat bonuses.

Armed Turrets

Armed Turrets are the Everfrost equivalent of the Statue of Carnage.

They increase:

Troop Attack

Two Armed Turrets can be unlocked.

Defense Bases

Defense Bases replace the Statue of Guardian.

They increase:

Troop Defense

Two Defense Bases can be unlocked.

Don't Rush the Combat Buildings Too Early

Attack and Defense bonuses are appealing, but remember what actually unlocks your ability to participate in stronger seasonal content:

Resistance.

Before dumping Cryolite or other limited seasonal resources into your military buildings, make sure you are not starving your Greenhouse and Thermal Lab progression.

A stronger army does not help much if your Resistance prevents that army from fighting the content you need.

Frozen Rescue

Frozen Rescue is one of Everfrost's recurring seasonal activities.

During Cold Snaps, frozen animals appear throughout affected areas of the map.

Players send scouts to help thaw and rescue them.

Cold Snaps can occur multiple times throughout the day, so watch the event timer and alliance chat for good rescue locations.

How Rescues Work

When you find a frozen animal:

  1. Check its available reward.
  2. Send a scout to begin helping free it.
  3. Share useful animals with alliance members when appropriate.
  4. Additional players helping the rescue can speed up the process.

The current Season 3 walkthrough indicates a daily rescue limit of 10 and that up to 12 players can receive rewards from an individual rescued animal.

Different animals can offer different rewards.

For example, the Coldhoof can provide Hero Skill Books.

That means you should not blindly use every rescue attempt on the first animal you see.

Check the reward first.

Icy Emblems and Bob's Supply Shack

Frozen Rescue also awards Icy Emblems.

If you played Eternal Dunes:

Bob's Supply Shack is basically Season 3's version of Francis's Exchange Shop.

Spend Icy Emblems on seasonal and account-development rewards.

Possible rewards include things such as:

  • Precision Parts
  • Snowballs
  • Hero Exclusive Equipment Fragments
  • Icebloom
  • Seasonal building resources
  • Other rotating rewards

Check Bob's shop regularly, especially when inventory refreshes.

Snowman Mania

Snowman Mania sounds like a simple seasonal minigame, but there is more going on than simply throwing snowballs at a snowman.

Your objective is to collect Snowballs and use them to progressively upgrade your snowman.

Higher Snowman levels unlock additional milestone rewards.

Getting Snowballs

Snowballs can be obtained through activities such as:

  • Daily Snowman tasks
  • Clearing snow from shelters
  • Savagerot progression
  • Glacierbane progression
  • Season Kickoff activities
  • Bob's Supply Shack
  • Snowball Intel

Completed Snowman tasks may require a waiting period before their Snowballs become claimable.

Snowball Intel

Snowball Intel allows you to locate claimable Snowballs generated by other alliance members.

The current walkthrough shows:

5 Snowball Intel opportunities per day.

If you see a green ready-to-claim Snowball indicator, it may be available through Snowball Intel.

Use these opportunities daily.

Clear Snow From Shelters

Shelters displaying a snowflake icon may have snow layers that can be cleared.

The icon indicates how many layers are available.

The walkthrough shows a daily limit of:

10 snow clears per day.

Another small daily activity—but one that contributes toward Snowman progression and seasonal rewards.

The Alliance Furnace

The Alliance Furnace is one of the most important alliance structures of Everfrost.

It:

  • Defines an area where members can place personal seasonal buildings.
  • Stores Coal collected throughout the season.
  • Supports seasonal territory progression.
  • Becomes the main objective during Furnace Fury.

For Eternal Dunes veterans, think of it as the successor to the Alliance Mining Center, but with a much larger PvP role attached to it.

Coal and Alliance Rankings

Territory occupied throughout the snowfields generates Coal over time.

Coal determines your alliance's position in the seasonal Coal rankings.

Higher ranking means better season rewards.

This makes territory decisions much more meaningful than simply creating a pretty map.

The alliance needs to consider:

  • Which territory generates the most value.
  • How defensible that territory is.
  • Where Furnaces are positioned.
  • How seasonal buildings are placed.
  • Whether territory expansion exposes important structures.

And then there is the other way to obtain Coal:

Take it from somebody else.

Furnace Fury

Furnace Fury is a major alliance-versus-alliance event in which alliances fight over Coal. Remember Sand Clash? Yup.

The winning alliance can loot:

20% of the losing alliance's Coal.

That makes Furnace Fury important far beyond its immediate event rewards.

A bad loss can directly affect seasonal standings.

Target Lock

Target Lock begins:

Monday at 13:00 server time

The R5 or an R4 selects the opposing alliance before Tuesday.

Once locked, the target cannot be changed.

Tuesday: War Day

Tuesday is War Day, and survivors receive a healing buff.

Combat takes place during the earliest compatible battle session outside both alliances' selected Truce Periods.

If the competing alliances are in different States, participants can teleport into the opposing State for the battle.

However, Furnace Fury is a controlled conflict between the two matched alliances.

Unrelated Watchtowers cannot simply be attacked as part of the event.

Attacking Alliance Furnaces

Enemy Furnaces must be attacked in sequence:

Alliance Furnace I

↓

Alliance Furnace II

↓

Alliance Furnace III

You cannot skip directly to a later Furnace.

There is also a major defensive building-placement mechanic:

Alliance Furnaces and seasonal buildings are immune to attack when surrounded by allied seasonal buildings within one tile.

That makes organized seasonal-building placement extremely important.

Listen to alliance leadership before placing or relocating seasonal structures.

Furnace Fury Conquer Points

Conquer Points help determine the winner.

Each friendly Alliance Furnace increases Conquer Point acquisition by:

+25%

Important scoring methods include:

ActionConquer Points
Destroy an enemy Alliance Furnace60,000,000
Remove 1 point of Furnace durability4
Defeat 1 enemy unit5

Destroying a Furnace is therefore enormously valuable.

How Furnace Fury Is Won

A side immediately loses if:

  • It fails to place any Alliance Furnaces, or
  • Every Furnace it placed is destroyed.

If both alliances still have Furnaces standing when the battle ends, the alliance with the higher Conquer Point total wins.

The winner receives:

20% of the losing alliance's Coal.

Furnace Fury Personal Contribution

Players can earn Personal Contribution by:

  • Damaging enemy Furnaces.
  • Damaging enemy seasonal buildings.
  • Defeating enemy units.

Each friendly Furnace that remains standing also increases Personal Contribution gains by 25%.

Personal Contribution tracks individual performance.

It does not determine the alliance's reward distribution.

Weekly Coal Rewards

Once Furnace Fury becomes active, alliance members can also receive rewards based on their alliance's current Coal ranking.

These are distributed:

Wednesday at 00:00 server time

That makes maintaining Coal important throughout the season rather than only at final settlement.

Arctic Ice Pits

Everfrost introduces Arctic Ice Pits at three levels:

  • Level 1
  • Level 2
  • Level 3

These unlock progressively.

When an Ice Pit contest begins, the ice thaws at:

12:00 server time

The Tundra Titan then appears for one hour.

Alliances compete to inflict as much cumulative damage as possible.

Beginning with the second opening, States within the same seasonal group can participate in the Cross-State competition.

Tundra Titan

The Tundra Titan is protected by an icy shell.

Break the shell before dealing meaningful damage.

The Titan can also launch powerful area-of-effect attacks.

The event recommends assigning a capable player as a hunter/catcher to draw the Titan's attacks away from the group.

If the Titan is defeated, the alliance that dealt the highest cumulative damage receives control of the Ice Pit.

Ownership lasts:

7 days

If nobody defeats the Titan within the one-hour contest window, the Ice Pit freezes again and reopens seven days later.

Ice Pit Owner

The R5 or an R4 may appoint an:

Alliance-Appointed Catcher

If the alliance captures the Ice Pit, that player becomes the Ice Pit Owner.

If nobody is appointed, ownership goes to the player with the highest contribution.

The owner receives the Capture Reward.

Other alliance members who dealt at least 1 point of damage to the boss can receive Participation Rewards.

Fishing

After an Arctic Ice Pit is captured, fishing becomes available.

Players use:

  • Common Fishing Passes
  • Master Fishing Passes

to fish at active Ice Pits.

Different catches fill your seasonal fishing collection.

Duplicate activated entries may be:

  • Gifted to friends.
  • Sold to Bob for Icy Emblems.

Completing the fishing collection can unlock an exclusive sled march skin.

Does Owning the Ice Pit Matter?

Yes.

The controlling alliance receives advantages while fishing in its Ice Pit, particularly relating to rare fish entries.

Current descriptions are inconsistent on whether rare entries are completely exclusive to the owner or whether ownership simply provides a greater chance of catching them.

Because of that, the safest approach is:

Expect Ice Pit ownership to provide a meaningful rare-fish advantage, but be prepared to fish at multiple Ice Pits to complete your collection.

We will update this once we can verify the exact behavior in our version of the season.

Fishing Red Packets

Fishing activity also benefits the alliance controlling an Ice Pit.

Fishing Pass usage contributes toward thresholds including:

  • 500
  • 2,000
  • 5,000
  • 10,000
  • 20,000

Qualifying activity can provide the Ice Pit Owner with 10,000-Ruby Fishing Red Packets that can be shared through alliance chat.

So even players who do not care much about completing the fish collection can contribute to alliance-wide rewards by participating.

Endless Night

Endless Night brings another alliance-wide threat to the snowfields.

On Sunday, Frostbeasts become aggressive and attack Watchtowers throughout the seasonal map.

This is not an event to ignore simply because you're personally shielded or offline.

Watchtower damage affects alliance territory.

Follow leadership instructions regarding:

  • Tower defense.
  • Reinforcement.
  • Positioning.
  • Repair or rebuilding needs.

Some older material describes Endless Night as a Saturday/Sunday event, so watch the current in-game calendar as the event approaches.

Frozen Tundra Cavern

Everfrost also introduces an underground Cross-State activity involving hidden resources and competition between survivors.

The Cavern includes systems such as the Arctic Veins described earlier.

Some current Everfrost material also references additional Cavern competition and resources that were not present—or were not documented—in older versions of the season.

We will expand this section as those phases unlock and can be tested directly.

Deep Lake Ice Cavern

The frozen world also extends beneath the ice.

The Deep Lake Ice Cavern introduces additional content in underground or underwater frozen zones, with its own dangers and rewards.

Current information about the complete progression system is limited, so this section will be updated once it opens on our server.

Steelstone

Steelstone is another Everfrost resource found within permafrost and glacial fissures.

The game's current description associates it with especially durable construction.

Its complete role is less clearly documented than Cryolite, Icebloom, and Coal, so do not make major strategic decisions around Steelstone based on older online guides.

We will update this section as its uses become available.

Season Pass and Weekly Pass

Everfrost also introduces seasonal paid bonuses.

Whether they are worth purchasing depends on your spending level, but several bonuses directly accelerate the main seasonal progression loop.

Notable Season Pass Benefits

Icebloom Boost

Smart Greenhouse yield +20%

This directly increases the resource feeding your Thermal Lab.

Cryolite

Additional seasonal construction resources.

Money Rolling In

Influence-based Coin rewards +100%

Shift Master

Influence-based Gear rewards +100%

Wild Snowman

Your snowman's appearance changes as it progresses.

Turret Expansion

Armed Turret level cap +20

Defense Extension

Defense Base level cap +20

Season Weekly Pass

Notable Weekly Pass benefits include:

Down Coat

Provides additional Troop Resistance while active.

Extra Greenhouse

Unlocks:

Smart Greenhouse V

while the pass is active.

Zombie Hunter

March Speed vs. Savagerots +20%

Fishing Passes

Provides additional fishing opportunities at open Ice Pits.

Unused seasonal Fishing Passes are removed when the season ends.

Seasonal Resources

Additional Cryolite and Icebloom may help accelerate progression.

Season Building Queue

An additional Season Building Queue is also available during Everfrost.

This allows another seasonal building to be upgraded simultaneously.

Because Greenhouse and Thermal Lab development is extremely time-sensitive early in the season, an additional construction queue can provide a meaningful progression advantage.

Your Everfrost Daily Checklist

There will eventually be a lot happening at once.

If you are wondering what you should make sure you do every day, start here:

  • Keep your Smart Greenhouses upgrading.
  • Keep your Thermal Lab progressing whenever Icebloom allows.
  • Push the highest reasonable Savagerot level.
  • Join strong Glacierbane / seasonal rallies.
  • Complete your Arctic Vein searches.
  • Gather or protect useful Cryolite Veins.
  • Complete Frozen Rescue attempts.
  • Check animal rewards before using limited rescue attempts.
  • Spend/check your Icy Emblems at Bob's Supply Shack.
  • Complete Snowman Mania tasks.
  • Use available Snowball Intel attempts.
  • Clear available snow from shelters.
  • Complete Season Kickoff tasks while the event is active.
  • Participate in Ice Pit/Fishing activities when available.
  • Follow alliance instructions regarding territory, Furnaces, and Watchtowers.

You do not need to complete everything the moment it appears.

You do need to avoid consistently falling behind on the systems that drive Resistance.

Biggest Everfrost Mistakes to Avoid

1. Falling Behind on Resistance

This was one of the biggest mistakes players made in Eternal Dunes, and it will punish you again here.

Keep your Thermal Lab progressing.

2. Neglecting Your Greenhouses

Your Thermal Lab depends on Icebloom.

Your Icebloom depends on Greenhouses.

If your Greenhouses fall behind, eventually your Resistance does too.

3. Spending Too Much on Combat Buildings Too Early

Armed Turrets and Defense Bases are valuable.

But increasing Attack while being unable to fight seasonal enemies because of low Resistance is not particularly useful.

Prioritize the progression engine first. Get your Smart Greenhouse and Thermal Lab to max level before starting investments into your combat buildings.

4. Ignoring Stronger Alliance Rallies

If stronger players are already pushing higher seasonal enemies, participate. They may set unique restrictions on their rally so please read alliance chat before blindly joining.

Seasonal progression rewards alliance cooperation.

5. Missing Your Arctic Vein Searches

You receive limited free searches.

And gathering does not occupy normal troops or march queues.

Use them.

6. Wasting Frozen Rescue Attempts

Different animals provide different rewards.

Check before committing a limited attempt.

7. Treating Coal Like a Personal Resource

Cryolite and Icebloom drive your personal seasonal progression.

Coal is an alliance objective.

Territory decisions, Furnace placement, Furnace Fury, and Coal rankings affect everyone.

8. Placing Seasonal Buildings Wherever You Want

Building placement can directly affect Furnace Fury defenses.

A badly placed seasonal building is not just ugly—it can create strategic problems.

Follow the hive plan.

9. Ignoring Endless Night

Frostbeasts attack Watchtowers.

Watchtowers define territory.

That makes Endless Night everybody's problem.

Everfrost in 30 Seconds

If you remember nothing else from this guide:

Eternal Dunes became Everfrost.

Holy Altars → Smart Greenhouses

Obelisk → Thermal Lab

War Fort → Strategic Barrack

Guardian Statue → Defense Base

Carnage Statue → Armed Turret

Francis → Bob

And your main progression is:

Farm Cryolite

↓

Upgrade Greenhouses

↓

Produce Icebloom

↓

Upgrade Thermal Lab

↓

Increase Resistance

↓

Kill stronger seasonal enemies

↓

Repeat

Meanwhile, your alliance needs to:

Capture territory → produce Coal → defend Furnaces → win Furnace Fury → compete in Coal rankings.

Everything else fits around those two progression loops.

Final Thoughts

Everfrost Age looks like a huge collection of unfamiliar systems when you first open the Season 3 interface.

It really isn't.

If you made it through Eternal Dunes, you already learned the most important lesson:

Seasonal progression rewards the players who start early and keep their Resistance moving.

Build your Greenhouses.

Farm your Cryolite.

Spend your Icebloom.

Upgrade your Thermal Lab.

Join your alliance's stronger rallies.

Use your daily seasonal attempts.

And most importantly, follow the alliance's territory and building plan.

The sand may be gone.

The grind is not.

Welcome to Everfrost Age.
